ASK MR.CHUA
Client: Ask Mr.Chua

Introduction:

Ask Mr.Chua is a modern English language learning platform designed for school students seeking clarity, confidence, and connection in mastering the language. Centred on online lessons, the brand combines the structure of traditional tuition with the accessibility and warmth of digital learning. It transforms the familiar idea of tuition into a more personal, interactive mentorship.

Inspiration:

The heart of Ask Mr Chua is the personal touches that define Mr Chua’s teaching style. Every highlighter stroke, hand-drawn note and sketch brings to life a rhythm and expression of the English language, manifested between teacher and student, bridging the gap between online learning and the intimacy of a real classroom

  • The lowercase typography reinforces the brand’s approachable and conversational tone, contrasting with the formality of conventional tuition centres.

2. Colour Palette
Ask Mr. Chua's palette is bright, fresh, and dynamic, designed to energise both digital and print media while staying easy on the eyes for long reading or viewing sessions. These three colours form a system that feels youthful and confident, equally suited for educational materials, thumbnails, and digital classrooms.
  • Highlight Yellow (#FFD100): Represents illumination, clarity, and the core “highlight” concept of the brand.
  • Coral Red (#F16463): Adds warmth and friendliness, capturing the human touch behind every lesson.
  • Teal (#06BFAD): Balances the palette with calm professionalism, evoking trust and focus in learning environments

3. Typography
Typography plays a crucial role in conveying Ask Mr.Chua’s hybrid tone of professionalism and personality.
  • Primary Typeface – Roberto: A clean, geometric sans-serif that ensures legibility across screens while giving a structured, modern look.

4. Hands-on element
The handwritten note element is designed to visually communicate Mr.Chua’s style of hands-on, personal teaching, using 3 elements of circling, underlining, and grammar/spelling corrections, recalls Mr Chua’s real-time feedback and whiteboard markings, reinforcing the “teacher’s presence” visually
