The Just announced Meme originated from British social media circles, where the visual template, previously used by the UK Conservative Party as a shorthand for election result announcements, became a piece of satire after the contrast between projected party strength vs losing seats became a powerful metaphor for the reality of politics.
My own contribution was creating Singaporean versions of the template for the GE2025 election, recreating the template suited towards Singapore (Such as the unique multiple-member GRC system), which was posted on my social media page and shared on other platforms throughout the campaign period.
